Professional Learning: e-Learning
Here are some really useful links I have come across in regard to developing ICT Skills and digital technologies as a tool for inclusiveness and responsiveness to the needs of students. These are something I will look into for the future and thought if I was staying in NZ, it may have been beneficial to use the self-review tool as a team. These first images are from
Kia Takatū ā-Matihiko which is a ministry self-review tool I started. It would be a good place to start for teachers to reflect on their digital practice and figure out where to next for them.
Developing culturally responsive practice – The benefits of whole staff PLD, online
Kia Takatū ā-Matihiko – introduces teachers and principals to the new curriculum content. The programme is available for three years and is free to NZ educators.
Technology online – provides resources supporting schools and kura implement the technology learning area and the digital technologies, hangarau matihiko whenu.
Centrally funded PLD programme – digital fluency support is designed to enable teachers and kaiako to confidently use digital technologies, programmes and devices to support their teaching and learning programmes across all curriculum areas and Ngā Wāhanga Ako. You can apply to get support for Digital Technologies and Hangarau Matihiko curriculum planning.
Teachers need ongoing access to information about effective practice using ICT so they can support 21st century students to achieve their full potential and become lifelong learners. One of the easiest and most effective ways to communicate best practice in e-learning is through the use of ICT.Enabling the 21st Century Learner: An e-Learning Action Plan for Schools 2006–2010
