These videos show learning from my class over the last few years and the ways we have woven digital technology into our learning.
The videos have many examples of the different technology tools and apps used. Some of the ways you will see digital technology incorporated into the way the students have chosen to present their learning are:
- Green Screen - to look like they were on the moon.
- Created animations by app smashing Brushes Redux and EE to tell the story of Issac Newton and the story of how he came up with the theory of gravity.
- They filmed as a group their learning and explanations about the laws of gravity.
- Edited footage in iMovie to make a mini film.

- They app smashed Brushes Redux and EE to explain scientific concepts of gravity; Theories of Newton and Einstein and animated explanations - Do objects fall at the same rate?
- Literacy Shed and iMovie to retell a narrative.
- App smashed Pic Collage and Brushes to retell 'Show not Tell' stories.
- Created music in Garage Band and produced their own song.

Possibilities
You can see this from the work produced in the video that all our students are not working on the same things. They start with the same 'big idea' and then branch off from there. Two students, in particular, needed further extension and showed a natural interest, pushing questioning of their findings and asking their own deep questions.
I don't hide that I don't know the answers in front of the kids. I purposely model using Google and Siri all the time, searching for answers to my questions - not just as a deliberate act of teaching, but I actually genuinely had to in this case of the Student above. I was blown away and so excited for this to occur.
This video shows deep discussion students are having about the rice experiment they are doing.

The video below is the student explaining one theory about how the earth was created. He researched and then explained his take on what he had learned to me. Pretty cool, it's awesome to think a 7-year-old is having these discussions. Imagine him when he is at high school!
