I try to make clips of footage I have of students from trips and advisories so I can share them with Whanau. I add these to their journals which are a shared Document or Blog with the student and whanau.
This process is still developing and I have been trialing which medium works best. Below is Skylers Blog using Blogspot and another few that I have started in the last few weeks using Sheets. Eventually, I would want this ownership to move to the students but as I am still setting them up and there is quite a bit to know about each programme, I am entering the posts for now. Skyler who done the Blog is entering his own work and posts himself as I spent a bit of time showing him how to use it and wanted to use his as an example when it was set up. I have also trialed using slides as a portfolio but because we are branching into a range of multimedia not all programmes and sites cater to this. I have thought blogging will be the best but is a little more complex to use.
Flipout Advisory
Trip to the Bay Video
My Wairoa students came all the way to visit me from Wairoa to Hawkes Bay as I couldn't go to them because I was teaching at Te Tupu for the term. That was pretty special and awesome that they made the effort and trip here.
Another student and their Flipout Advisory Experience.
Johnathon's Learning Journal we have begun to record using Sheets.
